Check In/Check Out Policies

While we try to accommodate all ferry schedules, please note the check in and check out times.  We do not have a holding area for campers, and we cannot ensure your spot will be available prior to check in.  Please be sure to stop at front office to check in before driving into the campground as we do not have a turnaround area once you enter the campground.  If you are arriving after hours (5 PM) please contact the office to ensure you will have someone to assist you if needed.

Reservation Policy

​

• All reservations are processed through Jernimans.com.

• Holiday weekends book very quickly.

• RV/camper site costs include up to 6 people. Each additional person is $10/night, with a maximum of 8 people per site.

• Please make your ferry reservations to and from Ocracoke at https://ferry.ncdot.gov when you book your camp site to ensure worry-free travel. Jerniman's is not responsible for any discrepancies with your ferry reservations.

• Active military? Veteran? First responder? Please bring your proof of service upon check-in at the campground for a 10% refund.

• A 3 % processing charge will be applied to final purchase price.

Cancellation Policy

​

• Discounts and sale prices are considered non-refundable. However, Jerniman's will move your reservation to a better time of your choosing, pending availability. 

• Non-sale/discount purchases will be eligible for full refund if cancelled 30 days prior to stay. If cancelled within the 30 days, Jerniman's will move your reservation to a time frame of your choice, pending availability. Refunds will be completed within 15 days. Please be aware that in the case of a Hurricane, pandemic, or any other major disasters the cancellation policy will remain the same. You will be credited with the number of nights you lost in that particular situation and the time credited will be good 1 year from the original booking date. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Campground Policy

​

• Jerniman's is a family-friendly campground.

• Speed limit is 4mph for all vehicles, including golf carts. No one under 16 is allowed to drive on the premises. Reckless driving is also not allowed, applying to both vehicles and golf carts.

• Quiet hours: 11:00PM to 7:00AM

• Jerniman's is not responsible for lost, stolen/damaged property or personal injury while on the premises.

• No fireworks.

• No illegal drugs.

• Alcohol is allowed. However, please keep alcohol consumption contained to your site. No excessive intoxication will be tolerated.

• All pets must be on a leash and owner must clean up after them (no exceptions). Please ensure your pet's vaccinations are up to date. No aggressive pets.

• No open flames.

• All household garbage must be in a tied trash bag and placed in the designated trash collection area.

• Music must be kept to an acceptable level. Please be considerate to your neighbors.

• Campers/visitors who are uncooperative or violate rules may be asked to leave without warning or refund.

• Jerniman's reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason.

• Bathhouses are for personal use only. No pets. No smoking. Please be considerate of other campers and clean up after yourself.

• Please do not use campground water hoses to wash vehicles or campers or any other recreational equipment.

Parking

Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. You are allowed 2 vehicles per site only.  Please do not park on our septic tank located directly behind buildings back door.

Electrical Use

You are responsible for understanding how many amps you are using in you RV.  Amp usage over the 30/50 AMPS provided can trip your breaker.  Please be mindful of your amp usage, so that you don't trip your breaker during you stay with us.

Please notify the front office so that we can assist you if you have any electrical issues during your stay.  Guests are not permitted to diagnose our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements.  We are happy to help you.

Laundry 

The laundry room is open 8 am- 5 pm.  It is available to use at a small fee of $5 per load. (Wash and Dry).  Please remove your clothes promptly.  Empty all pockets before usage. Clean out dryer vent before you leave.  Please do not leave laundry unattended.  We are not responsible for accidents or theft.

Bath Houses

For the comfort of all guests, bath houses are open 24/7 with exception of a temporary closing for cleaning twice a day.  We ask for your help in keeping the bath houses clean, please.  Guest under the age of 12 need adult supervision in bath houses.  Pets and smoking are not permitted in our bath houses.  Please do not throw anything other than toilet paper in the toilets.
